Most people who are looking for a partner would absolutely love to find a “soulmate”. The word carries a meaning of a sense of a true and lasting relationship.

Recently I spoke to a lady in her 40’s who had very strong views on the type of men she was willing to meet. Here at Introductions UK, we are unique as a company in offering all prospective members a free partner search, before they join.

She was well on the way to disappointment! None of these expectations are right or wrong and of course I understand she was being truthful about her preferences for a future partner. However, in my experience as a Personal Matching Consultant for nearly 20 years, it is important not to set too many of these requirements in stone. I advised this lady to list the very essential points and make a second list of those preferences that would be “nice to have” as opposed to “must have”.

By following my advice, this lady would more likely meet a wider variety of gents to start with and then we could see how she finds each one based on their individual merits.

Having an initial chat with a client does not commit you to spending the rest of your life with them. Here at Introductions UK we have often found that clients who find their soulmate do not always tick all of their boxes with regards original preferences but certainly stir their chemistry. My advice – keep your options open and be as flexible as possible.
