Finding Love – Is Romance Alive and Kicking?

An old fashioned rule of manners for young women was always “never finish everything on your plate” – the moral being: hunger can be satisfied, greed never can and taking time to savour your food could prove more fulfilling than rushing it.
In today’s world of fast food outlets, text messaging, the internet, the world has turned upside down and the pace of life seems all of a rush.
Has the art of flirtation and romance fallen by the wayside? In my opinion romance is meant to be about red roses and men in love doing chivalrous things like draping coats over puddles, dashing off to fight dragons, overcoming unthinkable adversity to steal a kiss and just generally behaving like a cross between Romeo and charming Mr Darcy with a great big dollop of a Hollywood action hero.
Using mass media to attract a potential partner is nothing new – the first personal advert ran in the Manchester Weekly Journal in 1727. Tired of living the life of a spinster, Helen Morrison persuaded the Manchester Weekly to accept a tiny advertisement to the effect that she would be delighted to make the acquaintance of a pleasant gentleman to spend time with. Readers of the time were scandalised and Ms. Morrison was committed to a mental asylum for four weeks. A sign of the times.
Fortunately, using an Introduction Agency or Exclusive Dating Agency or an Introduction for Professionals, no longer has the same sort of stigma. With busy lives and fewer social gatherings it has become more difficult to meet eligible partners who fall within the preferences you may have and not living too far away. This is where Introductions UK can help you. Introductions UK has been established for over 18 years. All our Personal Matching Consultants are highly trained and are happy to talk you through exactly how we work and how we can help you find that someone special.
I have been a Personal Matching Consultant with Introductions UK for over 16 years and during that time I have been responsible for many successful relationships. I can assure you that romance is still alive and kicking – it is simply a case of finding the right person for you.
